Tracy Parker reflecting on recording her album:
“Out of the Blue was the first and only record that I ever did and I wanted it to be as good as it could get. And so, my producer got Tiran and Frank Recard and Gene Barnhold and Jimmy Norris. I was just amazed at how it came out. I'm just as happy with it today as I was the day I released it. It seems like it stands the test of time. We recorded that album in 1993, and Tiran kept performing with me in Santa Cruz until 2018.
There's a certain way that you have to be with the bass to be really good. And Tiran has that. He just has it. I've seen a lot of bass players, and some of them don't have rhythm or they don't have taste. They play too much. A lot of times less is more, and you have to be careful about that, you know. Tiran always plays exactly right and just enough. Tiran is the most consummate professional. Tiran was always encouraging me and telling me to keep going and not to quit. He was a great support to me.” - Tracy Parker, singer songwriter
